Sound designer and audio lead

Hello! My name is Alex Thomas, a sound designer and audio professional based in Seattle. I am currently working at Bungie on Destiny 2, where I have spent nearly 5 years working on the live releases. I joined Bungie as a senior sound designer and was set to help lead the seasonal release efforts, where I was responsible for planning and executing the releases throughout the year. I eventually moved into an audio lead role where I stepped up my skills to help lead the entire team through major releases.

During my time at Bungie I have honed my skills in production and planning, player focused gameplay mechanics, sandbox design, interactive mixing, and team management. Our team has grown into a very versatile and agile group that can ship quality content at scale!

Before my time at Bungie I was working at Undead Labs and shipped State of Decay 2 with a small team, and continued years of updates and live support. I was also in the early stages of State of Decay 3 (unreleased) where I helped design and prototype foundational systems using Unreal Engine, record source material to be used through production, and work closely with other teams to prove out the early product vision.
